I wish I had the excellent experience that everyone else seems to have had with this Guevara Construction but, alas, such is not the case. While the actual cement work is fine (hence the 2 star rating), the dimensions of the steps are not what was discussed with Henry. That’s the MAIN issue I have with this project. Also, Henry said it would take one day to complete, but the people he sent to do the job (another problem for me because he did not say that he, himself, would not be completing the job) broke up my porch then proceeded to work on my neighbor’s porch (we both hired Guevara Construction for cement work), leaving me with no access to my front porch for three days (due to inclement weather, the steps were covered in plastic the whole time). I finally had to reach out to Henry to ask him why it was taking so long, to which he replied that he had no idea that that was the situation (another issue, because how do you not know what your workers are doing???). Henry came out the very next day and completed the project. Once I saw the completed project, I reached out to Henry to let him know via text (my preferred method of communication) that I had issue with the gaps let on either side of the steps (see attached photos) to which he replied “it will be fine. Thank you again”. My last text expressing my dissatisfaction with the end product (see attached photo) went unanswered. I most certainly will not use or recommend Guevara Construction again.
