Custom Concrete Driveways Service Areas
Your driveway absorbs daily traffic and every freeze-thaw cycle Michigan throws at it. We pour reinforced driveways over a properly compacted base, with the slope and drainage to shed water, finished from clean broom texture to decorative stamped patterns.

Custom Walkways Service Areas
A cracked or heaved walkway is both a trip hazard and a drainage issue. We remove the old path, rebuild the base, and pour a level, properly sloped walkway that ties your driveway, porch, and yard together.
Custom Patios Service Areas
A concrete patio adds usable outdoor living space without the upkeep of wood or pavers. We size and slope each slab to your yard, in smooth, stamped, or exposed-aggregate finishes built to resist cracking and standing water.

Frequently Asked Questions
How much does a new concrete driveway or patio cost in Metro Detroit?
Cost depends on size, thickness, finish, and site prep. A plain broom finish sits at the lower end, while stamped or exposed aggregate costs more. Guevara Projects starting at $6,500. and we give a written estimate after measuring your site. 0% financing for 18 months is available.
How long before I can walk and drive on new concrete?
You can usually walk on it after about 2 days and park a passenger vehicle after 7 days. Concrete keeps curing for a full 28 days, so stay off the edges, which cure last, and keep heavy trucks off during that first month.
What is the best time of year to pour concrete in Michigan?
Late spring through early fall is ideal, when temperatures hold above roughly 40°F. We do pour in colder months using insulating blankets and mix adjustments, but scheduling in the warmer season gives the most predictable cure and the cleanest finish.
How thick should a concrete driveway be?
A standard residential driveway is 4 inches of concrete over a compacted gravel base. If you park an RV, a trailer, or work trucks, we increase it to 5 or 6 inches and adjust the reinforcement so the slab carries the weight without cracking.
Are you licensed and insured, and who actually does the work?
Yes, Guevara Construction is licensed and insured in Michigan, and a BBB Accredited Business with an A+ rating. We are veteran-owned and family-operated, and the owners are on site for every project. We do not hand your job to subcontractors.
Do you pull permits and handle inspections?
Yes. Most new driveways and larger slabs require a permit. We file the paperwork and schedule any required inspections in every township we serve, so you are not chasing the city or risking a code problem when you sell later.
Do you charge for an estimate or for traveling to my city?
No. Estimates are free and there is no travel charge anywhere in our service area. Based in Novi and working across Oakland, Wayne, Macomb, and Washtenaw counties, we can usually come out to measure within a few days. Call 313-629-1100.
